Your Saviour

You ask for life, and your path seeks death,
You want freedom, yet you bind yourself in chains,
You plead for safety, but put yourself in harms way,
You admit that you are lost, but deny guidance.

For you all these things I do my best to provide, yet still I must do more,
So tell me, please, I beg of you, how can I save you?
What will it take to open your eyes, show you that your pain is killing me?
Everything I do, I do for you, as your happiness is mine,
Does this make me selfish, or simply human?
I am at my wits end, the breaking point, I have just myself left to give,
My dream is life forever with you, no pain, no sorrow, just love.
